Current Missions Opportunities & Events
Calvary has been serving in Grand Goave, Haiti since 2011. We have partnered with Conscience International to build homes after the earthquake. We have also partnered with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionaries to provide a medical clinic in the mountains and have provided medical services to approximately 1,000 people in the area. In 2014, we helped rebuild the school Extol Mixte. Since then we have led teacher training classes and continued to lead medical missions. Visit our Haiti Missions page
Chrysalis Clothing Closet
Chrysalis House is a home for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The house is located adjacent to our back parking lot. Calvary supplies and operates a clothing closet for the women and children of Chrysalis House.
Opportunities to Serve: Donate clothing for women and children (Donation Station located in Calvary’s Education Building 2), help organize clothing.
This has become more than a learn-to-quilt class. It is a time of mentoring and building relationships. We invite young ladies from Chrysalis House to learn quilting and sewing skills while spending quality time with the ladies of our church. Quilting Class is Fridays from 1:00-3:00pm in the Craft Room.
Calvary has partnered with downtown public schools to help provide beds for children who are in need. We construct twin beds and provide kits with sheets, a comforter, pillows, an alarm clock, books and a Bible. We built 43 beds in 2017.
