November Child / Family Mission Project
Operation Christmas Child
Visit to http://www.samaritanspurse.org to learn about how to pack a Christmas box for a child in need this year. You can also watch some of the videos to learn more about the program.
Families will shop and fill the boxes at home with their child then send them in on Wednesday night, November 19. Click here for a quick guide to preparing a shoe box.
Extra pamphlets will be available around the church for families who would like to participate with their preschoolers.

November Child / Family Mission Project
The Chrysalis House is a nonprofit organization that helps women with substance abuse problems get back on their feet and they are right at Calvary's back door. Many of the women in the program come to the ROC for exercise and recreation, as well as volunteering at the ROC. Calvary has a small closet where we are able to provide clothing and miscellaneous items for these women and their children. The new or gently used items needed are listed below:
Women's fall/winter clothing
Bath and body items
Purses and shoes
Winter clothing for children babies through 4T
Small toys or books for children through age 4
Items can be taken to the ROC office or dropped off at the Donation Station. Contact Brian Varble or Maurine Mitchell for more information.
Make this day of serving our community a priority. It is a wonderful day of missions, fellowship, and worship. Come as an individual, family, or a Sunday School class. Breakfast will be served at 8:30am and a brief devotion will begin at 9am.
God's Pantry is in need of canned vegetables and soups. Over the next few weeks we will be collecting cans of green beans, corn, peas, carrots, mixed vegetables and soups. Please make sure it is a quality product and not passed expiration date. On Mission Blitz Day (October 18) we will organize and deliver the cans. There will be blue bins set up around the church to put your cans in. Thank you for your help.

Volunteers Needed for God's Pantry
This is such a wonderful ministry in our community. Calvary serves at St. Luke United Methodist Church every Tuesday and Thursday. This gives us the opportunity to share God's love in a practical and hands-ons way. Sunday School Classes or individuals are needed to help with the first Thursday and third Tuesday of the month. Please contact Brian at 232-8955 or by email if you are interested in serving at God's Pantry.
The Mission Lexington free clinics are in need of more volunteers to work the front desk (answering phones, calling with reminders, checking patients in, calling to check eligibility criteria, scanning documents into the electronic records system, cleaning, etc.). Please e-mail Huston Hastie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help at the Dental Clinic, or call Peg Nethery at 272-0219 if you can help at the Medical Clinic. We could use licensed providers as well (MDs, DMDs, RNs, CNAs, Phlebotomists, Hygienists, Dental Assistants, etc.).
Room in the Inn is underway and a few items are needed to help with this ministry. Drop all donations off at the Recreation Center desk.
There are many needs for our Towel Ministry. The ministry is open Monday-Friday (6:00-8:00am) for homeless men and women to take showers. The items needed for this ministry are:
