Support Mission Lexington with the Good Giving Challenge

Join us in supporting Mission Lexington in the GoodGiving Challenge.
The charity with the most votes (among 100 of the nonprofit organizations that are participating) between October 19 and November 12 will receive a Bluegrass Community Foundation $5,000 endowment.  Just visit the Pie Five Pizza at Fayette Mall to vote.  Just tell them at the cash register “I want to give Mission Lexington a high five”.
That’s all there is to it.

Donations Needed for the Chrysalis House Closet

The Chrysalis House is a nonprofit organization who helps women with substance abuse problems get back on their feet AND they are right at Calvary’s back door.  Many of the women in the program come to the ROC for exercise and recreation as well as volunteering their services.  Calvary has a small closet where we are able to provide clothing and misc. items for these women and their children.  As you are cleaning out your closets, please consider donating the following items:
· Women’s fall/winter clothing
· Jewelry
· Perfume/Bath & Body Items
· Fall/Winter Shoes & Purses
· Winter clothing for children
  through 4T
· Small toys and books for children
  through 4T
Items can be dropped at the donation station IN Education Bldg 2.  Any questions: Contact Brian Varble or Maurine Mitchell.

Cookie Bakers Needed for College Ministry

The College Ministry needs volunteers to bake cookies for our weekly Cookie Ministry. Everyone knows that college students love homemade treats so each week we deliver cookies to our first time college visitors.  The obligation is to bring 2-3 dozen homemade cookies to the church office on your designated Sunday (one time each semester). We package and deliver them to the students.  Just email and we’ll mail you a cookie ministry schedule as well as a reminder card on your designated week.  It’s an easy way to share God’s love with students who are far from home and looking to connect with a church here in Lexington.
