Located in the heart of Lexington, Calvary is uniquely placed to minister with people in need from every walk of life. We especially care for those who are currently experiencing homelessness.
Room in the Inn
Calvary Sunday School classes and individuals work with other churches in Lexington to provide shelter and food for the homeless November through March.
Responsibilities: Provide a meal for the evening, set up the beds and serving tables, provide two overnight hosts.
Other Opportunities: Provide clothing for the men, provide toiletries.

Calvary Baptist Church offers sack lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The lunches consist of vienna sausages, applesauce, peanut butter crackers, a granola bar, and water. Lunches may be picked up between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. In order to provide lunches for everyone in need, participants may only receive once a week.
Opportunity to help: Food donations are always welcome! You can drop them off in the church office.
The ROC provides a shower ministry weekdays from 6 to 8 am. Towels and toiletries are provided.

Summer Picnic for Homeless
Each Wednesday in July, Calvary provides a picnic dinner of hot dogs and hamburgers for the homeless.
Opportunities to serve: Set up tables and chairs on the green space between the Sanctuary and the ROC, help set up the serving line, help prepare the hot dogs and hamburgers, provide homemade desserts, and clean up.
