 Dear Dentist:

As you are aware, the need for oral health care for low and no income people is enormous. Mission Lexington, Inc. has seen the need, and is attempting to address it through a free dental clinic. The clinic is located at 216 South Limestone Street, and has been refurbished by volunteer labor and generous donations of supplies and equipment. Local churches and businesses contribute to ongoing costs of maintaining the clinic. The clinic is staffed by volunteer dentists and office personnel. Patients are not charged for services, although donations are welcome.

Our normal hours of operation are Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 and from 12 to 3 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12. We can, however, schedule patients at the convenience of the volunteer dentists.

We are asking all Lexington dentists to donate one half day per month to this mission. Please consider using your talents in a way that has immediate impact in changing the lives of people in this community.

Please call Kendra Durham, the clinic coordinator, to schedule your time to volunteer, to ask any questions you might have about this mission, or to set up a time to tour the clinic. She can be reached at (859) 519-8157

Thank you for your willingness to volunteer and make Lexington a better community.

Sincerely,
Patsey Jacobs, Director
Mission Lexington, Inc.
