South Limestone Street (US 27) is closed between Avenue of Champions and Vine St. as of July 22, 2009
Construction is slated to take approximately one year. The map below shows the street closure and the detour to reach Calvary from Nicholasville Road/South Limestone:
- Follow the marked detour to turn left onto Virginia Avenue. (The intersection at Avenue of Champions is closed.)
- Turn right on South Broadway (US 68).
- Turn right on Vine Street.
- Turn right on Beck Alley, after passing under the viaduct and just past the Transit Center.
- Turn right on High Street. Calvary will be just ahead on the left.
Note that you may also access Calvary from Maxwell Street, but the intersection at South Limestone will be closed during some phases of the project.
Construction will not affect parking. You can reach the lower lot beside the ROC from High Street, or all other parking from Martin Luther King Blvd. and Rodes Avenue.
