Saturday, March 3rd is Build-A-Bed Day! Don’t miss the chance to help children in need of beds at local schools: Booker T. Washington, Harrison, Arlington, Williams Wells Brown, Dixie, Mary Todd and Lexington Traditional Middle School. Several students in our Monday tutoring program will get beds as well. Build-A-Bed can now supply bunk beds which work well in tight spaces. We hear many stories of great appreciation from families. There are volunteer opportunities for all ages and skill levels.
Thursday 2/22 & Thursday 3/1 at 5:30pm–Building Days: We will cut and stain the materials. We need 15-20 people to get prepared for delivery day on March 3. We need tools and supplies: table saws, cordless screwdrivers, sanders, and paint brushes.
Friday 3/2 2:00 – 4:00pm: Help needed transporting materials from the Building Institute of Central Kentucky.
Saturday 3/3 @ 8:30am–Delivery Day: We will need people to help with bed assembly, people with trucks for delivery, and people to set up beds at the children’s homes.
