Mission Health Lexington

In 2004, Mission Lexington was just a dream.

Each year since then, Mission Lexington has served more people than the year before. Today, the free Medical Clinic, free Mental Health Clinic, free Pharmacy, free Vision Clinic, and free Dental Clinic provide free dental exams,free radiographs, free dental restorative work, free extractions, free vision tests, free prescription eyeglasses, free primary medical care, free wound dressings, free psychiatric care, free lab testing such as urinalysis, pap smears, and free blood tests of all kinds (as well as dentures and partials for a fee).

Board of Directors

Mission Lexington’s Board of Directors is made up of representatives from Calvary Baptist Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Maxwell St. Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church, Immanuel Baptist Church, the Lexington Roman Catholic Deanery of Parishes, and South Elkhorn Christian Church.

Volunteer Needs

The clinics are currently in need of more volunteer dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and reception secretarial volunteers.

The free clinics operate on a by-appointment basis for patients that meet certain requirements.

MEDICAL CLINIC, MENTAL HEALTH, or VISION CLINIC

To become a patient at the Mission Lexington Medical Clinic or the Mission Lexington Free Vision Clinic at 230 South Martin Luther King Blvd., one must:

  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Live in Lexington, KY
  • Have no medical insurance or medical card
  • Have an annual household income at or below 185% of the current federal poverty line.

DENTAL CLINIC

To be eligible to place your name on the waiting list to become a patient at the Mission Lexington Dental Clinic on 216 S. Limestone St., one must:

  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Live in Lexington, KY
  • Have no dental insurance
  • Have an annual household income at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines,
  • Have teeth (please note, we cannot provide dentures if we did not extract your teeth)
  • Be willing to wait a couple of months for your first appointment, and make sure you keep in contact with us if your telephone number changes while you are on the waitlist.

FAITH PHARMACY

Any adult in Kentucky who cannot afford prescribed medications, when referred by their physician or a social worker may have their prescriptions filled by Faith Pharmacy on Saturday mornings between 9:00am and 11:00am if the medication is listed on the formulary that appears online here.

If your doctor needs a referral form, please call (859) 272-0219 with your doctor’s fax number and we will send your doctor a provider referral form.
