Dr. Monty Stallins

Pastor

Monty is a native of Princeton, KY but comes to Calvary after years of ministry in Georgia.  He holds a BBA from Belmont University, a MDiv from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University and the Doctor of Ministry from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University.  Monty is married to Laura, a middle school chorus teacher. They have two grown children.

Monty comes to us from Second Avenue Baptist Church in Rome, GA and was formerly minister of Christian Education & Discipleship at Wieuca Road Batist Church in Atlanta where was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1999. You can find his letter of introduction HERE.

Rev. Hank Ellington

Associate Pastor for Logos Ministries 

Associate Pastor Hank Ellington was called to Calvary’s staff in May 1993 as Minister of Education. A Louisville native, Rev. Ellington did the bulk of his undergraduate work at Georgetown College before graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Communications. He earned a Master of Arts degree at Lexington Theological Seminary.

Rev. Ellington has written more than seventy curriculum pieces for both the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and for Smyth & Helwys Publishing. He has served as a conference leader for the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship, and the Elkhorn Baptist Association. He served on the Governor’s Task Force for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and has served on the Coordinating Council of the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship. He currently serves on the Lexington Fayette County Urban County Government Senior Adult Advisory Council.

Hank and his wife Linda, also a Louisville native, met as Georgetown College students. They have been married for forty-seven years. Linda is retired after a teaching career in public and private schools. The Ellingtons have two daughters, Sarah Ellington Hicks (married to Drew), an attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Emily Ellington Robinson (married to Randy), a pediatric nurse practitioner serving in the UK Healthcare system. The Ellington’s have five grandchildren, Caroline, Avery, and Tucker Hicks and twins Harrison and Madeline Robinson.

Among his responsibilities at Calvary are the teaching ministry of the church, staff supervision, administrative consultation, curriculum development, stewardship education, leading Bible studies for adults, periodic preaching, and the coordination of LOGOS a ministry created for older adults. Officially retired from thirty years of church softball, Hank enjoys golf, traveling, writing, and his lifelong secular passion – the Kentucky football Wildcats.

Niki Hays

Minister To College Students And Adults

A native Texan, Niki Hays was born and raised in Houston where she completed her undergraduate work at Houston Baptist University. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christianity and Speech, Niki went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Niki served as Minister of Education and Students at Monument Baptist Church in Deer Park, Texas for 19 years before being led to Calvary. She had the privilege of overseeing education from birth to senior adults. She served on the Board of Trustees for The Texas Baptist Home For Children.

Niki enjoys traveling, Mexican food (and all things spicy), and family nights at home. She is married to Ryan, a music teacher, and they have two children, Ryder and Karis.

Dr. Richard “Rick” Landon

Director Of The Interfaith Counseling Center

Dr. Richard Landon is the Director of the Interfaith Counseling Center, an affiliated ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. He is a Pastoral Counselor (AAPC), Spiritual Director (SDI), Kentucky Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT), and Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Formation at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky.

He is a Member Care Counselor for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionary families in Western Europe. He works with many clergy and/or family members.

Dr. Kevin Raybuck

Minister of Worship Arts and Information Technology

Dr. Kevin Raybuck holds degrees from Asbury College and the University of Kentucky in piano and composition / theory. His organ teachers include Schuyler Robinson and Gerre Hancock (of Westminster fame). He is an active composer and arranger for Calvary and other ensembles. His compositions have been performed in Europe as well as the United States. A native of the Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania area and ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 2009, he has served our Lord through Calvary since 1991.

Rev. Carrie Beth Tonks

Minister to Families with Children & Congregational Care

Carrie Beth was born in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Tennessee Tech University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Following college she attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where she received a Master of Arts in Religious Education.

After seminary Carrie Beth served in two churches in Texas: First Baptist Church, The Colony and First Baptist Church, Abilene. Carrie Beth has served as Calvary’s Minister of Childhood Education since September 1993.

In addition to serving as a minister at Calvary, Carrie Beth enjoys leading children’s ministry conferences. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading and cooking. Carrie Beth and her husband Ken have two sons, Andrew and Benjamin.
