Wednesday Evening Adult Bible Study Fall 2025
“A Long Obedience in the Same Direction”

As the pilgrims approached Jerusalem for the festival, they sang. Thankfully our forebears in the faith preserved some of their song book in the Psalms. We often call these the Songs of Ascent. There are numbered 120 to 134 in our psalter. These psalms provide us both a glimpse into the heart of worship in ancient Israel and an insight into the way of discipleship for us today.
Eugene Peterson (translator of The Message) will be our guide for our journey through these songs during our Wednesday Night Bible Study this fall. We will use his book, A Long Obedience in the Same Direction: Discipleship in an Instant Society as a companion and conversation starter.
